We also work with some of the best suppliers in the business organising everything from the largest Royal dinner to the smallest local meeting, each one as important as the other. These fantastic teams include musicians, bands, florists, photographers, cake makers, interior decorators, transport providers – the list is endless.

We want to share our contacts and their expertise with you through some of the following blogs and ideas. Please remember that this list is by no means exhaustive and you are more than welcome to use your own preferred supplier.

1500 Photography Wedding Photoshoot

Back in January we had 1500 Photography along to use our beautiful venue for their photoshoot.

Along with a fab mix of suppliers to pull the shoot together they were able to use the stunning Grand Hall and Staircase to capture some amazing shots.

Stuart gave us an insight into his experience and how the shoot went...

I had the pleasure of bumping into Laura from Trades Hall at a recent wedding show. During the quieter moments of these shows fellow suppliers always get together and chat, plot and throw about ideas. This is how our elegant fashion shoot came together in the fabulous Trades Hall. I pulled together a fab team of suppliers to help me bring my vision to life. I had this image of a bride spinning on the dancefloor under that stunning dome. Ever since I saw the space at the show I couldn’t shake the image from my imagination.

I called on my friends (the wedding dress whisperer) KJ from the Wedding Planner Shop in Helensburgh. KJ has the uncanny knack of looking a bride up and down and, nine times out of ten, placing her in exactly the right dress for her taste, style, body shape and size. I knew KJ would be there to help me get “the Dress” I needed for my shot.

For hair I knew I could turn to Una from Blush Hair Glasgow who in turn got us the wonderful make up Artist Jenna Clayton and Sonia Tinagli of Gioia Mia supplying gorgeous handmade jewellery and accessories.

We also had 3 wonderful models to help us on the day. Chelcie, Shannon and Jillian.

David, who was on duty at Trades Hall when we arrived could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Once we had our equipment, dress and (most importantly) coffee inside we were raring to go.

It’s not hard to be inspired by the actual building of Trades Hall.
Steeped in Glasgow’s history the building was originally designed to help promote trade and industry for local youngsters. The dome incorporates tributes to the 14 original crafts from bakers and tailors to stonemasons and weavers. I wondered if they would let ‘photography’ join their ranks these days?

Over the course of the day we worked through various ideas, lighting techniques, make up looks and each model looked just perfect in stunning dresses after stunning dress. Finally, near the end of the shoot I got my picture. The shot I had imagined from the very start. I wanted some movement in the dress that Shannon was wearing and then I saw the shot. I dropped one knee to take in as much of the architecture as I could but in that moment – I got it. It's exactly how I imagined it could look and I am delighted with it.

Of course we all got an enormous amount from the shoot. We utilised so many different areas of Trades Hall with its beautiful staircases, fabulous rooms and its huge windows.

It really is a fantastic venue for a wedding, shoot, event in fact – it's perfect for whatever you can imagine!

Stuart, 1500 Photography
