These fantastic teams include musicians, bands, florists, photographers, cake makers, interior decorators, transport providers – the list is endless!

Meet the supplier: Rosewood Cakes
Hi! We’re Edwina & Chris McNulty, and in 2015 we launched Rosewood Cakes and made it our mission to create sensational, show-stopping wedding cakes that wow the guests – we’ve created luxury cakes that cost £2000, and a gold chandelier cake that we suspended from the ceiling.
When we were planning our wedding, we struggled to find a cake that met our expectations. Nothing matched up to the modern, elaborate designs that we’d seen online. We realised we could take our passion for baking into a business.
We’ve developed our own unique style of artistic cakes, with intricate detailing and realistic sugar flowers – all of which is edible and made by hand. We cover cakes with gold leaf, hand-paint designs onto icing, and once spent 16 hours piping tiny little dots all over one four tier cake. We take a lot of pride in our work and do whatever it takes to meet our clients’ expectations.
Quality is extremely important to us, we use the finest icing on the market which is imported from Switzerland, and each cake is covered with a layer of white chocolate ganache which gives the cake stability and allows the smooth sides and sharp edges. We put our heart and soul into our cakes, and we hope you’ll agree that this shows in the final results!
It is paramount to us that each cake tastes as good as it looks. Even our sponges are bespoke to your favourite flavours, with popular choices being sticky toffee and salted caramel, or white chocolate and passion fruit. We’ll make anything you like, and love being challenged to come up with something new. One of our favourite requests was a tea themed wedding cake, which had a sugar teapot pouring sugar flowers around the cake in a big spiral, and the sponge flavour was earl grey with lemon buttercream!
We use 100% fruit powders in our buttercreams which intensify the fresh flavours, and we love making home-made curds which really pack a punch! We’re always adapting our flavour list, with the newest additions being chocolate Guinness cake with cream cheese, and a freshly ground hazelnut sponge with Frangelico buttercream.
In addition to creating cake recipes, we have written recipe features for the Glasgow Herald, and have also featured in the Guardian and top wedding publications such as Brides Magazine and blogs like Rock My Wedding. We are honoured to be recommended suppliers to some of Scotland’s finest and most stylish venues, including the Trades Hall, Glasgow’s most iconic and utterly stunning city centre wedding venue.
Please have a look at our website www.rosewoodcakes.com to see more examples of work and to get in touch. The process of ordering a cake is adapted to your convenience, but usually we meet couples for a consultation where we get to find out all about you and your wedding. This helps us gain an understanding of your style and create a unique design. Of course, there are samples available, where you will see that our sponge is light and fluffy and our icing rich and creamy. You can find reviews on our google and facebook page which are testament to our clients’ experience with us, but it’s always nice to be able to judge the taste for yourself! You can also contact us directly via email at email@example.com
When we’re not baking, we’re usually out hillwalking with our little ones, Holly & Charlie, we love Scotland and the great outdoors! Please do get in touch to find out how we can make your big day that little bit extra special, we would love to hear from you.
