Monkey Box Films at Trades Hall
Ever wondered how video companies approach a wedding day? Monkey Box Films recently captured a wedding at Trades Hall. Here's what they wrote about it....
"We had the privilege of capturing the day for Martyn and Thomas....
We had the privilege of capturing the day for Martyn and Thomas on the 10.03.18 and it was a day of fun. The boys entered a competition we had run a to win a free wedding video: we hadn't met the boys and we had never shot in the Trades Hall before so it we knew it would be a day of problem solving. One thing we will keep in mind for future visits to Trades Hall is the back entrance to the building, which was great for getting our equipment inside!
The couple won our bronze package so we arrived an hour and a half before the ceremony to begin putting things in place. The staff at Trades Hall were very accommodating, letting us know exactly where and when everything was happening. They were ready for all the questions we could throw at them and knew the couple's schedule so well.
The historic building and unique character made our job super easy and, of course, with it being Glasgow we didn't exactly have good weather for getting any shots outside but with the huge amount of different rooms that they had at the venue we weren't short of places to get amazing shots of the couple. The room in which they held the ceremony was a nice intimate size and although we were a little worried about there being no windows and how that might affect us and our cameras the room was really quite bright.
We loved getting to know the venue and the wedding couple had a great time as well. The venue was very open and there was a great flow to everything in the place, with the Grand Hall topping it all off for the evening. I think that everyone involved really loved the space and I know that we are excited to shoot there again.
