There are lots of ideas, offers and up-and-coming events on our blog page.

We also work with some of the best suppliers in the business organising everything from the largest Royal dinner to the smallest local meeting, each one as important as the other. These fantastic teams include musicians, bands, florists, photographers, cake makers, interior decorators, transport providers – the list is endless.

We want to share our contacts and their expertise with you through some of the following blogs and ideas. Please remember that this list is by no means exhaustive and you are more than welcome to use your own preferred supplier.

Somethings Gotta Give - Tie the Knot Scotland

We are delighted yet again to be featured in Tie the Knot Scotland's July/August issue to talk about the environment and what Trades Hall of Glasgow are doing for it along with some other well known venues around Glasgow!

With the help of Rosie from Tie the Knot Scotland we were able to tell all the TTKS Couples what happens with the income from their big day in Trades Hall. Here are just a couple of the amazing things achieved....

One of the key objectives of Trades Hall of Glasgow is to support people in Glasgow who are in need of financial and social aid. This, along with our educational initiatives to motivate, inspire and reward those of all ages, is one of our number one driving forces. We've made donations in excess of £800,000 to deserving causes and we hope to smash this next year!

The House's charitable endeavors do not effect the cost of weddings. We carefully monitor the market to ensure we're competitive and also that our facilities are top notch.

We're always trying to lessen our impact on the environment and this includes everything from seemingly small gestures, such as maximising recycling and reducing food waste, through reducing energy consumption.

You can donate to one of the Trade House charity appeals or become involved in its work by joining a craft or becoming a Friend - or even ask that your guests make a contribution to a chosen charity instead of giving gifts! Some couples have event incorporated their charitable givings in their favours by giving favour pins to their guests! Easy and effective!

This has yet again been an amazing opportunity for Trades Hall of Glasgow to be featured in Tie the Knot Scotland and so big thanks to the team (Rosie and Zoe to name a few!)
